Rachel here, hope you guys still remember me!

heh heh.

Okay, firstly NETBALL SUCKS.

i've been getting like a hell lot of injuries from it and shit,

i've ~~been~~ swam for like 10 years and i haven't gotten injuries.

I think the closest to injury is like what, muscle aches?

I am sad.

I have pulled my ITB band, so my left hip is clicking like a bitch.

I have seriously sprained my left ankle (twice) and i'm stuck on a ankle brace for support whenever i train.

sprained right ankle once.

Got two scars on my knee for falling down.

Yeah.

I miss the atmosphere of swimming competitions, the nervousness when you're sitting on that white plastic chair waiting for your events.

I mean when i heard the reshufflement of the club and everything, sure i was pissed and i thought i'd totally lost interest in swimming and hell yeah i was ready to quit and give up on swimming and start anew with netball.

4 years of competitive swimming-

i always thought swimming was a very individual thing, the only time you actually have a time to be in a "team" during competitions are when you are in a relay team , but not really counted luh.

But then i realised, yellow rays.

I mean we train together, laugh together, do really crazy things together.

Remember we owned the whole pool and then we all each stood on each diving board and we plunged in like domino and we screamed when we plunged? It was so hilarious and i guess that was one of the most memorable things ever. And an jiao lian was like enjoying himself and asking us to do it again and again like some freak show, but heck, we did it again.

You know frankly speaking,

when people nowadays ask me what sports i do.

I know i'm supposed to go, "Oh i'm a netballer."

But then i figured i always like to explain the long long story of swimming.

"Oh i used to be a competitive swimmer in APSC, you know APSC? Ang peng siong owns it. Yeah yeah. We train SIX TIMES A WEEK. two hours. oh no, i quit for netball. Oh yeah, netball's quite fun."

Then i go on to explain swimming all over again.

Then i love to see those O: faces on them and when i go "Eh bryan tay and taoli used to be in my club k!"

wah then they go "WTF!"

HAHA.

And then i feel damn proud.

And until now, i can proudly say, i can dare to walk down orchard road in my APSC swim team shirt, YR shirt in fbts and not giving a shit what others say.

I still like talking about PBs and Comp strokes,

IM and relays

Timings and competitions.

Wearing two swimming trunks or costumes as a trend.

Swimming caps are cool.

Idk, flippers paddles and kickboard?

I miss them all.

I miss all the chionging, slacking, screaming, shouting, fights, bitching, relationships, friendships.

Every.

Single.

Thing.

That.

Yr.

Gave.

Me.

Because i could have never, ever gotten it from netball.

I figured,

yes you can hate the club, yes you can hate the people in the club (some -_-), yes you can give up on your coach, you can give up swimming.

But swimming will never give up on me.

I still have the passion for it.

So i'm going back to swimming.

But not to APSC.

apparently latest newsflash:

Uncle Shane is gone. (WTF KAY HE WORKED IN APSC FOR 10 YEARS. and apparently he left cause of a arguement. you know who to go after alr)

Yifan is gone

Lina is gone

COACH MA JUST RESIGNED (WHAT ON EARTH?!)

yes so the only coach i know who is still there, struggling is our dearly beloved coach, An Jiao Lian.

If i could, i'd go knock on her door, ask her not to be so money minded, cause apsc will soon close if she continues being like this.

Swimfast, anyone?

Apparently all our coaches fled there.

WE NEED A YR G A T H E R I N G.
Has been quite some time since all of us met or something. Like, as yellow rays.

Ohwell, I guess we all think it's time for us to gather and catch up on our lives? As close as before? I admit we've all drifted apart, very little people left swimming now, perhaps. Or maybe some have gone to other clubs, sports, etc.

Need suggestions okay? About the DAY, VENUE, and things we're gonna do can be planned later.

1) Venue
- Anyone can offer their place for us to have our gathering?
- East Coast Park/ West Coast Park ( These aren't really convenient.. )

2) June holidays
- Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday.
( state which days you're free or you're not kay? )

Yeah kinda these two things first. I hope it really works out, cause we need some catching up ay. Any ex-yellowrayers are welcomed, very very welcomed in fact.

Yellow Ray Gathering 200908

Hey guys, Aishyn here! xD I'm here as already mentioned alot of times on the tagboard that I promise a picture gathering post. Yes, the pictures, aren't really like, clear. Some are super blur, some will just make you " huh-whats-going-on " so I'll explain through this post. I forsee that it's going to be long, so bear with me alright? Got the pictures from Zo just now, took a really long time to transfer it over and resize all the photos! Poof, 80+ altogether, but some will not be posted. :D

Joy, Joe, Zoey and I reached Nigel's house at around 2pm - 3pm, and that's when the boredom for that afternoon started. I'm not saying it was boring throughout. Nigel had humungous poker cards, which I didn't manage to get a picture of it, and mini monopoly. Hahaha, we were saying that normally poker cards were small and monopolys were huge, his was just the opposite. The guys started playing games on their computer which left me in " what-should-i-do " Sianed for that moment, Zo kept trying to get sneak shots but she only managed 2. One me one joy and it shall not be posted.

First three pictures were us proceeding to the BBQ pit and " getting ready " a little. The shot of Marcus holding the pizza, credits goes to Zoey. It wasn't posed, it was candid. HAHAHA, cool ay!
You see the commotion at the last 2 pictures. Somehow, someone's slippers flew or something and Nigel was below? Heh, I'm not really sure ay, apologies! :D Find out from the guys there!

See the last picture? It was nigel talking on the phone with Joe who was behind us. They were asking us to get down to join them at the playground. Playground ( outside the condominium ), went to loads of them, all down the HDB flats right across the condo. Many things happened there!

Proceeded down. Jay-walked since the traffic light was far away. :x Everybody does so anyway! Okay yeah, then the guys were acting like gangsters. Super funny, Zo Joy and I couldn't stop laughing. It was, hilarious. Didn't get alot of shots though, cause they walked super fast and ended up laughing. Hahaha.

Marcus and the rest started giving these " exercise machines " funny names. Like the double humping machine or whatever. Lol, it was really funny. Wha, the second last picture, Brandon being serious and doing his exercise, solo. Not bad ah, * gives a round of applause *

Isn't the elder kids snatching the place from all the small little kid? There were like little kids running around and stuffs, but they don't appear in the picture anymore cause the YRs scared them off? Lol. It's like giants in the barbiedollhouse? Heh, bad description I know that. The last picture pwns! :D

Alot of fun. Marcus was climbing high and low. So was Joe. Laughs, parnter and I just stood there messaging and hugging the orange pole. So funny. We didn't even like move. They were trying to knock down the chain. Not heavy enough lahh you all. :D Ask sumo, sure can one okay?

While walking back to Nigel's condominium, Zoey took loads of snapshots. I like the blurry ones though, hahaha. No more gangster walk, all of us were kinda tired out already? BUT its only the starting ayy, there's still more to go, and that means, more pictures!

Zoey Joy and I went up to sit, just nice, the boys will sitting on the table below us, like having a meeting. Jinson was talking throughout, like a boss briefing the best. Was really funny. Then we kept hearing the word " girls " repeated. Boys talk ayy?

LOL they were taking pictures of Zoey and I so we took blog lor! As simple as that!
R-E-V-E-N-G-E!

Went up to Nigel's house to slack in the dark. Totally dark. NO lights at all. Was using the phone and playing with the glow sticks, whoophee, that's f-u-n okay, don't laugh at me. :D Hahaha.

Jiaolian received his gift, a sunglasses. Lol, had group photos. I DONT HAVE THE GROUP PHOTOS WITH ME, CAN ANYONE SEND ME THROUGH MSN? THANKYOU! Yes, then tried out shirt sizes and stuffs. Tidied, and home for the day. It was already around 11pm!

AFTER ALL, it was a very very nice gathering actually. AND I wan't more of these, I think everyone wants more of these types of gathering ay? Okay, that's all for now. :D Just a few glow sticks photo okay?

It doesn't look that nice here. NEVERMIND!

yupps , so when training resume . the feeling in the pool would be different , so advce to all of you is to TRY & swim lyk once every 2 days , or everyday @ safra , or any private or condo pool . yeah . if not when you go bak training , you will feel very light , feelingless & cant swim properly .

Okay anyway, this is totally crap lahh. Training annual break has started, and training is resuming on the 28th of september. Hellooooooooooo reshufflement is like on the 6th of october. Great, so after training resumes, it'll only leave 1 more week for us? GO AND DIE LAH WHATEVER COMMITTEE thing. Argh, pissing the hell outta me. 2 weeks without training, I wonder if by the time training resumes, will I be like " ohmymomahhhh i forgot how to swim ". Hope not ay.

Zo, you better go for the " grad night " thingy, if not.. I don't know what will happen but you're gonna get it from me ay. Wha, you cannot pangseh us I tell you ah. JOY AND I will kill you. I haven't got her consent yet but who cares. She'll agree with me der lah. :x

Oh yeah, I still remember, on Friday during training, after swimming the 3km freestyle w/ paddles + flippers. Jiaolian was exclaiming on how could we swim so slow. Honestly, I was slacking like I never slacked before, but the rest were quite fast? Yeah, then he said, how were we going to swim his 10k free when training resumes. I thought I heard wrongly can?

I swear jiaolian's having his moody days now, and it's like Crazy Training Syndrome!

Someone help me, I don't know how to go to Nigel's house from my house. Dang. :X

The more the merrier aye, there are still many people I've yet to add onto that list! Oh-dear!

Ah thinking about it, in less than a month, YR will be like, HISTORY. Yes I mean, history. Can't believe time passes so fast when we don't want it to. Maybe we'll just have to face the fact and treasure the time left aye? I totally agree with what zoey said about, in one more month, there wouldn't be a " wha, I'm tired, I don't wanna go for training today " kinda thing, instead we'll be like " oh-dear, if only I treasured the time back then " which I'm already feeling. Sigh, ohsigh. STOP THE TIME!

Thinking about it, why call it graduation night, some of us got promoted, some of us, like demoted. Yes, and that includes me! Oh but who graduated. o.o We're still like gonna swim, that's what I think. I hope my motivation still stays yada. But oh-well, why the name graduation night for the bbq. Heh, abit weird aye? Okay nevermind, it'll still be a sorta gathering at nigel's place!

There will be a YR "Graduation Night" , (as what Benson's mum names it ) at Nigel's place on 20th September . Address not convenient to say la .
It will be after the morning training (for those who are going for training) or some other time you can come . Ends at anytime , means you can go home anytime you want .
It will be a BBQ dinner & Coach An is going to be there too .

Gosh it's been a very very long time since I've seen you guys! How's life in APSC now? Leaving YR was damn sad I must say. And it sucks cos now I don't swim as much. Not even once a week. More like twice a month or something. Kinda sucks. Like all the motivation and passion is gone. Saddening. Oh well I hope you guys carry on being the bestest team in APSC :D YR is zee best. No doubt about that. The bonds we have and the friendships we forged will forever be etched in my mind (: Thanks for the memories as FOB would say Haha! It's been a good three plus years and I hope you guys last long there! Don't give up! :D
